Hard Rock Hotel New York

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hard Rock Hotel New York during the week of New Year’s. We are a family of four with young children and wanted to experience the festive season in NYC—and this hotel was absolutely perfect for that. The property is just a block away from M&M’s World and is super walkable to Broadway shows, the Rockefeller Center ice rink, 5th and 6th Avenue, and the subway. The Big Bus Hop-On Hop-Off tour even starts right across the street! We ordered room service for the kids every morning and for dinner as well, and the quality was excellent with great menu options. If you want to experience local food and live the New York lifestyle for a couple of days, this is the ideal location. We loved Jos Pizza Broadway, Le Parisian Bakery, Max Brenner, Glaze Hot Chocolate, Bubba Gump Shrimp, Wu Dim Sum, Melt Shop—plus so many more options nearby. A special mention goes to Manager David, who was incredibly kind and helpful to us on multiple occasions. His hospitality truly made our stay even more memorable and welcoming. The best part of all was that the hotel gives a special invite to around 30 guests to see the New Year’s Eve ball drop up close at 11 PM. You’re escorted past the crowds into a reserved area, which was a total game changer for us—especially with children. We got to enjoy the magic of the ball drop without the stress or the crush of the crowds. Overall, our stay worked out perfectly. We highly recommend Hard Rock Hotel New York for families visiting during the holiday season!

Excellent hotel and a wonderful choice if you are staying in Times Square. Rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable and the location is absolutely fantastic. Each floor has tribute to a rock or other music artist and the service is friendly and efficient. Walking distance from Broadway and many good restaurants. 5 stars and a BIG thank you!

Wonderful hotel! Clean and spacious room. Excellent hotel staff. Alex was superb at the valet, Joel the bartender made some of the best drinks I have had in a long time! His professionalism and hospitality was amazing. The food was delicious. I am definitely coming back!

We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel for a week in early January. This place is fantastic. The staff were very welcoming, rooms were warm and inviting and the location is outstanding. We travelled as a family of 4 and found the whole experience wonderful. The minute we got out of the car and the staff member immediately helped us with our bags and helped us get settled. The food at the restaurant was also very good and reasonably priced for the location. If you are looking for a perfect spot to stay in New York with dedicated staff and clean rooms, this is it. It was also a nice touch to have the staff at the first floor desk always say good morning or offer help each day, brought a very kind and welcoming vibe to the whole trip. Hopefully we will return soon, however it’s a long trip from Australia!!

My new favorite hotel in NYC!!! Came here around Christmas for two nights—we got upgraded to a high floor, King Bedroom. Aside from AMEX perks, the hotel gives you a $20 credit per night to use! The decor and ambiance of the hotel is beautiful. Our room was fairly small, typical NYC hotel size, was chic and clean! Room service and housekeeping were both great. Location is perfect, right by Rockefeller, so we could see the Christmas tree easily! Right in Times Square area as well. Will definitely be back!

I visited the rooftop bar at the Hard Rock Hotel in New York City with a group of four, and the entire evening was a genuinely enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was stylish yet relaxed, with an open layout that made it easy to take in the incredible city views. The skyline created the perfect backdrop, especially as the sun started to set. The service was friendly and efficient, with staff who checked in often and kept everything running smoothly without ever feeling intrusive. The wait time for drinks and food was surprisingly quick for such a popular spot. We ordered a mix of cocktails and a burger, and everything was well-prepared—the drinks were balanced and refreshing, and the burger was flavorful, juicy, and served hot. The overall vibe was lively but not overwhelming, making it an ideal place to unwind, enjoy good food, and take in the view. It was the kind of rooftop experience that feels polished, comfortable, and memorable all at once.

My family and I stayed at Hard Rock Hotel NYC in February 2026. We were originally booked for 4 nights but had to extend our stay for an additional 3 nights due to our flights being cancelled because of the big blizzard. We loved our stay! The rooms were modern and comfortable. There were cool rock details in the hotel room. The location cannot be beat - close to Time Square, Broadway, Rockefeller Plaza, Radio City Music Hall, etc. The staff were very genuine, friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay!

We had a great experience at the Hard Rock. I had to knock off a star due to the fact that I specifically chose this hotel for the two queen beds but that is not what I got. Their queen beds are double beds. I guess it’s a New York thing?? We absolutely loved the location. Walkable to so many places. The roof top bar is amazing. There is a heated outdoor enclosed area to lounge and enjoy the rooftop all winter. The room was clean and modern. Housekeeping did an amazing job keeping everything clean and replenished including complimentary bottled water.
